  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 pkg. instant vanilla or pineapple pudding mix
  • 1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip
  • 1 (12 oz.) frozen coconut
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Directions

    Prepare cake mix according to directions.

    While cake is baking, boil the pineapple and sugar.

    Puncture cake with fork after baking, pour over pineapple mixture. Let cake cool. Prepare pudding mix according to directions.

    Spread on cool cake. Let cake completely cool, then spread on Cool Whip.

    Sprinkle with coconut and nuts.

    The longer this cake sets, the better it gets.

    Let set at least 2 or 3 days.

    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan.
