- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 large can crushed pineapple
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 pkg. instant vanilla or pineapple pudding mix
- 1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip
- 1 (12 oz.) frozen coconut
- 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Directions

1Prepare cake mix according to directions.

2While cake is baking, boil the pineapple and sugar.

3Puncture cake with fork after baking, pour over pineapple mixture. Let cake cool. Prepare pudding mix according to directions.

4Spread on cool cake. Let cake completely cool, then spread on Cool Whip.

5Sprinkle with coconut and nuts.

6The longer this cake sets, the better it gets.

7Let set at least 2 or 3 days.

8Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan.
