- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken, cut up
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- paprika to taste
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Combine salt, pepper, paprika and flour.

2Add chicken and coat 2 to 3 pieces at a time.

3Heat margarine and Crisco in an electric skillet or cast-iron skillet

4until a drop of water sizzles in it. Brown meaty chicken first, then add remaining pieces.

5When lightly browned, reduce heat and add 2 tablespoons of water. Cover and cook 30 to 40 minutes.

6Uncover the last 10 minutes.
