  • 1- 1/2 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Large Onion, Diced
  • 15 ounces, fluid Tomato Sauce
  • 15 ounces, weight Diced Tomatoes With Juice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 2 cups Elbow Macaroni, Uncooked
  • Parmesan Cheese, To Serve (optional)

Directions

    In a large deep pot, brown ground beef.

    Add onion and cook 5 minutes.

    To meat mixture, add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, bay leaf, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.

    Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer, cover and let simmer 25 minutes.

    Add uncooked macaroni cover and simmer an additional 30 minutes.

    If getting too dry, add more water as needed.

    Serve with parmesan cheese if desired and a hunk of crusty bread.
