  • 2 c. sour milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. soft lard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. graham flour
  • 1 or 2 c. white flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder

Directions

    Mix sugar and lard together.

    Add egg; beat together.

    Add sour milk, then graham flour with soda, salt and baking powder.

    Add white flour until dough is stiff enough (approximately 1 1/2 cups). Bake in oven 1 hour at 350°.
