- 1 c. sifted flour
- 3 1/2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. graham cracker crumbs (approximately 30 sq. crackers)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. soft shortening
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
- 3 eggs
Directions

1Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

2Add crumbs, shortening, milk and vanilla.

3Beat on low speed until moistened.

4Then beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

5Add eggs and beat for one more minute.

6Pour batter into 2 (9-inch) greased pans.

7Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake shrinks slightly from edge of pan.

8Cool.

9Frost or use whipped cream and fruit if wanted.
