Ingredients

  • 1 doz. eggs
  • 1 qt. half and half
  • 1 qt. whole milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. dark rum
  • 1 pt. applejack brandy
  • 1 pt. whipping cream
  • nutmeg

Directions

    Separate eggs.

    Set egg whites aside.

    Beat egg yolks; add brandy, one tablespoon at a time while continuously beating (should look like thin custard when done).

    Stir in half and half, milk and sugar.

    Stir in rum.

    Whip cream until stiff and fold in mixture.

    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture. Refrigerate.

    Shake before serving.

    Sprinkle nutmeg on before serving.
