- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. warm milk
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 2 Tbsp. regular oil
- 1/2 c. cold water
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Mix yeast with warm water and set aside.

2Warm milk and set aside.

3In large bowl, mix together flour, sugar and salt.

4Add oil, cold water, warm milk and yeast.

5Mix slowly but thoroughly. Knead on floured surface 2 to 3 times.

6Pinch off small balls, then smash with fingertips making a round patty; cut into 2 to 3 parts.

7Deep-fry in hot oil 3 to 4 pieces at a time.

8Cook until golden brown.

9Or you could take a spoon and drop them in the oil, whichever is easier for you.
