  • 4 lb. 11 oz. rolled oats (quick cooking)
  • 2 1/2 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 lb. 10 oz. peanut granules
  • 1 qt. raisins
  • 1/3 c. coconut
  • 4 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 qt. vegetable oil
  • 1 qt. water

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.

    Pour vegetable oil and water over dry ingredients; mix well.

    Spread thinly on sheet (18 x 26-inches).

    Bake in slow oven at 300° for 45 minutes, stirring twice to toast evenly.

    Let cool.

    Serve with milk as a presweetened ready to-eat cereal or serve dry as a snack.
