Ingredients

  • 3 c. oats
  • 3/4 c. sunflower seed
  • 3/4 c. wheat germ
  • 3/4 c. peanuts
  • 3/4 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. raisins

Directions

    Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.

    Mix well.

    In a saucepan, heat remaining ingredients, except raisins.

    Add the hot mixture to the ingredients in the bowl.

    Spread this mixture on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 250° for 45 to 50 minutes. Stir mixture every 15 minutes.

    Stir raisins into baked mixture. Cool.

    Store in airtight container.

    Yields 1 1/2 quarts granola.
