Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c. oats (uncooked)
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2/3 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. honey, syrup or molasses
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Toast oats in an ungreased large shallow baking pan in moderate oven 15 to 20 minutes.

    Combine toasted oats with rest of ingredients.

    Mix well.

    Press firmly into well greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.

    Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°) for 20 minutes.

    Cut into bars.
