  • 4 c. quick oats (uncooked)
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. peanut butter
  • 1/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. chopped peanuts
  • 1 egg, beaten

    Toast oats in shallow baking pan in preheated 350° oven for

    Melt together butter, brown sugar, peanut butter and syrup in saucepan over low heat.

    Add toasted oats mixture, peanuts and egg.

    Mix well.

    Press firmly into well-greased jelly pan.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
