  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 2 small summer squash
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped or garlic powder to taste
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • sweet basil or Italian seasoning to taste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook green beans about 10 minutes until just tender.

    Saute onion and garlic in a little oil until soft.

    Add beans, squash (cut up), tomatoes (cut up), sauce and seasonings.

    Simmer about 20 minutes.

    Adjust seasonings to taste.

    This freezes well, too.
