Green Beans With Meat Served Over Rice

  • 2 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1 lb. lamb shoulder or beef
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce or 3 medium-sized fresh tomatoes, cut small

Directions

    Clean and cut beans in about 2-inch lengths and set aside. Cut meat into 1-inch cubes and saute for 10 minutes.

    Add onions, garlic and seasonings; saute for 5 minutes more.

    Add water to cover meat and simmer until tender.

    (If water evaporates before meat is almost done; add more water.)
