Green Chili Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 (4 oz.) cans green chilies
  • 1 lb. grated sharp Cheddar
  • 2 large cans evaporated milk
  • 1 (4 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c. cornmeal
  • dash of salt
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Arrange 1 can green chilies in 2 1/2-quart casserole dish. Cover with 1/2 of grated sharp Cheddar.

    Layer last can of chilies over cheese.

    Layer the last half of Cheddar cheese over this. Mix the evaporated milk, eggs, cornmeal, salt and Worcestershire sauce.

    Pour over chilies and cheese.

    Sprinkle half of shredded Monterey Jack cheese on top.

    Over this pour the tomato sauce and top with the last half of the Monterey Jack. Bake at 350° until bubbly.
