  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. italian sausage
  • 6 strips bacon
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 c. sliced black olives
  • 1 c. sliced green olives
  • 16 oz. can pineapple tidbits
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 28 oz. can whole tomato
  • 28 oz. can diced tomato
  • 28 oz. can crushed tomato
  • 12 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil

Directions

    Chop onion, green pepper, celery, mushrooms and garlic.

    Mix together with olive oil, salt and Italian seasoning in a large sauce pan.

    Brown meats in separate skillet.

    Add to sauce pan cans of tomato, salt and black and green olives.

    Bring to a boil then add meat.

    Cover and simmer for 2 hours. Stir occasionally.

    Add sugar and can of pineapple tidbits with some of the juice.

    simmer for another hour. Stir occasionally.

    Serve over favorite pasta!
