- 4 c. water
- 1 c. quick cooking grits
- 1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. milk
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Bring water to a boil in medium-size saucepan.

3Add grits, salt and pepper. Return to boil.

4Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5Add cheese, butter, milk, eggs and garlic, stirring until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes more.

6Pour into lightly greased 2-quart casserole or baking dish.

7Bake in oven for 1 hour.
