- 1/2 c. hominy grits
- 1 garlic clove, lightly crushed (or minced garlic)
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. chicken broth (I use 14 1/2 oz. can)
- 2 sliced green onions
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Stir grits, garlic and pepper into boiling chicken broth. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until thick, 3 to 4 minutes.

2Discard garlic clove (if used).

3Stir in green onions and butter.

4Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
