- 1 c. grits
- 3 Tbsp. hot milk
- 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 egg yolks
Directions

1Combine grits, milk, onion and salt in a medium size bowl. Beat yolks until thick and lemon color.

2Stir yolk and cheese into mix.

3Pour into a greased casserole dish.

4Set casserole in a baking pan and pour boiling water in pan to a depth of 1 inch. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

5Serve immediately.
