  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 or 2 Serrano chilies
  • 2 sprigs fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 large or 2 medium avocados
  • 1 large tomato, skinned, seeded and chopped

Directions

    In food processor, chop the onion, chilies and salt together to a smooth paste.

    Cut avocado in half; remove seed and scoop out flesh.

    Mash flesh with chili paste.

    Add tomato, onion and cilantro to avocado mixture and combine well.
  5. 5
    Serve immediately. If made ahead of time, dribble with lemon juice to prevent discoloration.
