- 4 c. sugar
- 3 cardamom pods, slightly crushed
- 2 c. powdered milk
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. melted oil
- 1/2 c. milk
- vegetable oil for deep frying
Directions

1First make the syrup.

2In a 4-quart pot, combine 4 cups water, the sugar and the cardamom; simmer until sugar is dissolved.

3Do not stir.

4Pour half the syrup into a serving bowl.

5Leave the other half in the pot with the cardamom pods.

6Combine the powdered milk, flour, oil and milk in a bowl.

7Make a soft dough. Make small smooth balls out of the dough, about 1-inch in diameter.

8(Should make about 2 dozen Jamuns.)
