- 1/2 c. shortening or margarine
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 heaping tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 3/4 lb. raisins
- lemon flavoring (to add taste)
- 1/2 lb. gumdrops
Directions

1Put shortening or margarine into a bowl with the white sugar and mix, then add 2 eggs and mix.

2Add your milk and salt; mix. Sift your two cups of flour and your baking powder into bowl.

3Add your raisins and your cut up gumdrops.

4Add lemon flavoring to add taste.

5When you are all done, put it in a 9 x 13-inch pan and cook at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes, then at 300° for 15 to 20 minutes.
