  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 8 eggs, separated
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1/2 c. half and half

    Cream butter and sugar and add egg yolks, two at a time.

    Fold in flour and stiffly beaten egg whites and cream.

    Beat slowly and bake at 300° to 350° until brown.
