- 8 (4 ounce) halibut steaks
- 2 lemons, peeled and sliced
- 2 medium red onions, sliced
- cayenne pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons grated swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
Directions

1Arrange steaks in buttered or sprayed shallow oven dish.

2Arrange lemon and onion slices over fish.

3Season with pepper and allspice.

4Carefully pour wine over all.

5Let stand for 15 minutes.

6Combine- bread crumbs, grated cheese, parsley.

7Sprinkle over fish.

8Dot with butter or margarine.

9Bake uncovered in 350°F oven for 25 minutes.
