Halloween Ghost Sandwiches

- 1 Soft butter roll
- 1 slice Sliced cheese
- 1 slice Ham
- 1 dash Nori seaweed
- 1 dash Mayonnaise or honey
- 1 boiled egg or so Fillings (I made this an egg sandwich).

1These are the ingredients.

2Plus you will need a filling for the sandwich.

3I made an egg filling this time.

4The tools used are these.

5You will need a clean paper punch, a small cookie cutter, a small knife, and a small pair of scissors.

6I bought them all at a 100 yen shop (the Japanese equivalent of a dollar store).

7Cut the mouth with the knife.
-
8Make it wide horizontally.
-
9Take the mouth part off.
-
10Even if it's crooked, it will be hidden by the tongue so it's ok!

11The removed mouth part will be used later.

12Cut the roll lengthwise in order to fill it.

13I made it into an egg salad sandwich this time.

14(Chopped boiled egg, mayonnaise, salt and pepper).

15You can stuff it generously!

16Take care that it doesn't spill from the sides.

17Cut the ham to make the tongue.

18Chop up the leftover ham and add it to the filling.

19Make a longish, non-pointy heart shape.

20Make a small cut in the top indented part...

21...and spread to the sides to make it more tongue-like.

22Position the tongue.

23Pinch the bottom of the roll to make it more ghost-like.

24Make the hands using the part you cut off for the mouth.

25Cut the removed strip in half with scissors...

26...then cut each half into teardrop shapes.

27If they are too thick, pluck some of the bread off the other side.

28Make the eyes.

29Use the rounded side of the cookie cutter to cut circles out of the sliced cheese.

30Then cut a portion off the cheese rounds as shown.

31You'll have two crescent moon shaped eyes.

32Make the triangle for the forehead.

33Cut off a corner of the cheese with a knife.

34(This turns the ghost into a Japanese ghost.

35If you want a western style ghost, omit the triangle.)

36Here it is with all the parts so far placed on the roll.

37The ham and cheese are simply placed on the bread.

38The hands are stuck on with mayonnaise or honey.

39Make the eyes.

40Punch out circles of nori with a paper punch.

41Place the nori eyes, and it's done!!
