- 1 head cabbage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 medium onions
- 1 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 (16 ounce) package wide egg noodles
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Finely chop cabbage.

2Put in a pan with salted water to cover.

3Bring to a boil.

4Cook 5 minutes.

5In the meantime, chop onions and saute in 1 C margarine until tender, approximately 10 minutes.

6Drain cooked cabbage, rinse with cold water, squeeze out the excess water.

7Mix into the cooked onion; add 1/2 C butter, mix and cook until medium browned, approximately 30 minutes, stirring to prevent overbrowning.

8Cook noodles 5-6 minutes.

9Drain; combine with cooked cabbage, mixing well.

10Season with salt and pepper.
