Ham Chowder

- 2 qt. water
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 c. ham, diced (can also use a ham bone)
- 6 to 8 potatoes
- 4 to 6 carrots
- 10 to 12 oz. frozen corn
- 1 c. half and half
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Put 2 quarts water in large soup kettle.

2Add onion and ham to water and boil 1/2 hour.

3Add remaining ingredients.

4Cook until potatoes are tender, then mash with back of spoon about half of the potatoes to help thicken broth.

5Add half and half and serve hot.

6Good with fresh bread.
