  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. or more cooked ham, finely diced
  • 1 1/2 c. finely diced raw potatoes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
  • 3 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. flour

Directions

    Saute onions, ham, celery and potatoes on low heat for 10 minutes (in melted margarine).

    Stir in flour until blended.

    Add milk gradually, stirring constantly; bring to simmer or until chowder is thickened.

    Do not boil.
