Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. minced onion
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. horseradish
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 2 1/2 c. cooked ham
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

    Melt margarine; stir in flour.

    Add milk.

    Cook until thick. Remove from heat.

    Add ham, onion, horseradish and mustard. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or longer.

    Shape in ball.

    Roll in crumbs, then into beaten eggs and then back in the crumbs.

    Cook in hot oil (375°) until brown, about 4 to 5 minutes.
