- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 3/4-inch cubes
- 4 medium carrots, sliced
- 4 cups cubed fully cooked ham
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried savory
- 1 tsp. pepper
- just enough water to slightly cover everything
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
Directions

1In a large pot, combine the first nine ingredients.

2Bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat; cover and simmer until vegetables are tender. In a small bowl, combine the flour and milk until smooth.

4Stir into stew.

5Bring to a boil and boil until thickened.

6Discard bay leaf before serving.
