Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 3/4-inch cubes
  • 4 medium carrots, sliced
  • 4 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried savory
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • just enough water to slightly cover everything
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk

    In a large pot, combine the first nine ingredients.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat; cover and simmer until vegetables are tender. In a small bowl, combine the flour and milk until smooth.
