- 2 lbs ground chuck
- salt & pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 (7 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
Directions

1Salt and pepper ground beef. Form into 6 patties.

2Brown in hot oil over medium high heat, about 2 minutes on each side. Remove from pan.

3Add onion and green pepper to pan. Saute about 5 minutes or until tender.

4Add tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, and mustard. (I sometimes add a little Kitchen Bouquet at this point.).

5Blend and return hamburger patties to pan.

6Bring to boil, cover, and reduce heat.

7Simmer until patties are no longer pink, about 15 minutes.

8Remove cover and cook 5 minutes more.
