- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. warm tomato or V-8 juice
- 3 Tbsp. melted Crisco or oleo
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt or celery salt
- 1 tsp. minced dry onion or 2 Tbsp. grated onion
- 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Add the next 6 ingredients.

3Add flour and mix well (soft dough).

4Let rise until double in bulk. Divide dough in half.

5Roll out into circle 1/4-inch thick.

6Cut into pie shapes.

7Lay slice of boiled ham on each and roll (looks like crescent rolls).

8Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with poppy seed or sesame seed.

9Rise again until finger poked in roll leaves indent.

10Bake at 400° for about 20 to 25 minutes.

11These freeze well.
