  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. light corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • cinnamon oil
  • red food coloring

Directions

    In a saucepan, blend sugar, corn syrup and water.

    Bring to a boil over high heat until mixture reaches 290°.

    Remove pan from heat.

    Allow to stand until bubbles have simmered down.

    Add 8 to 10 drops of cinnamon oil and red food coloring as desired.

    Dip apples on sticks in mixture; allow to cool on cookie sheet sprayed with Pam.
