- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift together dry ingredients.

2Cut in shortening.

3Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.

4Add buttermilk and yeast together. Put in a lightly covered bowl and place in refrigerator until morning.

5Roll out the amount you need and cut into biscuits. Bake at 425° until done.

6The dough will keep in refrigerator for 1 week.
