  • 2 (16 oz.) cans sliced beets
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. butter

    Drain beets, reserving 1/2 cup beet liquid.

    In 2-quart saucepan, mix vinegar, sugar, cornstarch, salt and liquid until smooth.
