- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1/3 c. water
- 4 c. cooked, sliced beets or 2 cans sliced beets
- 3 Tbsp. butter or oleo
- 1/4 tsp. each: salt and pepper
Directions

1Combine sugar, cornstarch, vinegar and water.

2Boil for 5 minutes.

3Add beets and simmer for 30 minutes.

4Remove from heat; add butter, salt and pepper.

5Serves 6.
