- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. mild vinegar
- 4 Tbsp. cream
Directions

1Cook and stir last 4 ingredients until clear.

2When clear, add beets and place pan, covered, over hot water for 1/2 hour.

3Just before serving, heat beets again and add 2 tablespoons butter.
