- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
Directions

1Cook beets. Cut into thin slices or cubes.

2Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and vinegar in a saucepan.

3Let sauce boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add butter and pour over beets. Let stand to absorb the flavor.
