- 1 lb. can diced or sliced beets, drained (reserve 1/3 c. liquid)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. vinegar (scant)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.

2Stir in the reserved liquid, vinegar and butter.

3Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles.

4Add the beets; heat through.
