- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1/3 c. hot water
- 3 c. cut beets (already cooked)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.

2Stir into brown vinegar. Blend.

3Add 1/3 cup hot water.

4Cook on medium heat and stir constantly, approximately 3 minutes or until thick.

5Pour over diced or cut beets and butter.

6Let stand in syrup 30 minutes. Serve hot.
