Hash Brown Casserole

  • 1 (2 lb.) bag hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 12 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. onions, chopped
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 2 c. corn flakes, crushed
  • 1/2 stick margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Melt 1 stick butter; add grated cheese, soup, sour cream, onion, salt and pepper.

    Mix in hash brown potatoes.

    Put in buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Mix together corn flakes and 1/2 stick margarine.

    Put on top of casserole.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°.
