  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. margarine, melted
  • 1 (32 oz.) pkg. frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1 (16 oz.) sour cream
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. corn flakes cereal

Directions

    Saute onion in butter until tender.

    Combine onion mixture, hash brown potatoes, sour cream, celery soup and Cheddar cheese in a large bowl.

    Stir well.

    Spoon potato mixture into a lightly greased 11 x 17 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.

    Top with crushed cereal and bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour or until golden brown.
