Hawaiian Fruit Pie

- 1 large can crushed pineapple
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cornstarch or flour
- 3 oz. pkg. orange or lemon jello
- 16 oz. can pie cherries, drained
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 2 bananas (approximately)
- Cool Whip
- 2 deep dish pie shells or 3 regular shells, baked
Directions

1Mix sugar and cornstarch, then add crushed pineapple (juice included).

2Mix thoroughly and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened.

3Stir in jello, stirring until dissolved; cool.

4Add cherries and nuts.

5Line baked pie shells with sliced bananas, sides and bottom.

6Fill with jello mixture and top with Cool Whip; refrigerate.
