- 1 1/2 c. diced carrots
- 1/2 c. diced onions
- 1 c. diced green pepper
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 20 oz. can pineapple
- 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
Directions

1Combine carrots, onions, green pepper and celery.

2Cook until tender, about 20 minutes.

3Drain well.

4In a saucepan, combine salt, water, sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, cinnamon and cloves with pineapple juice, drained from can of pineapple.

5Cook until thick.

6Add water chestnuts, drained and sliced, and pineapple chunks.

7Add to sauce; then add to vegetables and heat.
