Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chuck steak (1 1/2-inch thick)
  • 14 oz. can tomatoes
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1 Tbsp. A.1. sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme or marjoram

Directions

    Cut steak into serving size pieces.

    Place in large shallow casserole.

    Drain tomatoes, reserving juice and arrange on top of steak.

    Sprinkle with onion soup mix and celery.

    Combine reserved juice with remaining ingredients and pour over steak.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 2 hours.
