Ingredients
- 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. quick rolled oats
- 1 c. whole bran cereal
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 c. cream-style cottage cheese (12 oz.)
- 2 Tbsp. shortening (oil)
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1In large bowl, thoroughly stir together 2 cups flour, whole wheat flour and yeast.

2In another bowl, combine oats, bran cereal, raisins, boiling water, cottage cheese, oil and salt. Stir mixture constantly until oil is mixed in.

3Add molasses to dry ingredients in mixer bowl.

4Beat 1/2 minute at low speed, 3 minutes at high speed.

5By hand, stir in enough flour to make a medium stiff dough.

6Turn out on floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.

7Place in greased bowl and grease top of dough.

8Let rise until double, about 1 hour.

9Punch down and make into 3 loaves.

10Let rise and bake 35 to 40 minutes in a 375° oven.
