Ingredients

  • 1 c. raisins or chopped dates
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. wheat flour
  • 1 c. quick oatmeal
  • 1 c. All-Bran cereal (or other bran cereal)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk

Directions

    Boil together raisins or chopped dates and water 5 minutes and cool.

    Combine dry ingredients and add raisin mixture.

    Pour into a greased 5 x 9 loaf pan and bake at 350° for about one hour.
