Ingredients
- 4 c. oats (rolled, instant or quick)
- 1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. brown sugar or honey
- 1/2 c. each: walnuts and slivered almonds
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. diced dates
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients well; mix together the water, oil, vanilla (and honey, if used) and add to the dry ingredients.

2Bake in a large 10 x 14-inch loaf cake pan in 275° oven for 1 hour. Stir every 20 minutes.

3Add the raisins and dates last 20 minutes.
