  • 1 cup butter (NOT margarine)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 lb milk chocolate chips or 1 lb semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

    In heavy saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and water.

    Stirring constantly bring to 300* on candy thermometer.

    Remove from heat - add vanilla and stir (careful, it will bubble).

    Pour into foil lined or silpat covered cookie sheet - sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

    When the chips melt, spread the chocolate over like frosting.

    After it sets, break into pieces and place in airtight container.
