- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. warm water (to dissolve yeast)
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar; add boiling water and allow to cool.

3Stir in beaten egg, salt and the shortening mixture.

4Add enough flour to make a soft dough, stirring with a wooden spoon.
