  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

    First, melt chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in sugar.

    Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

    Stir in flour, salt and chopped nuts.

    Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan. Cook for 40 minutes at 325°.

    Cool for a while; cut into squares.
